How do you Program a Walkie-Talkie?
When we get a walkie-talkie, the first thing we want is to make it communicate with another walkie-talkie.
How to do it?
First what’s your walkie-talkie is, license-free radio, or license radio?
For license-free radio, like FRS, the channel frequency is fixed. What we need to do is switch the channel of this radio to the same as the other radio. There is no programming software.
For license radio, there are two cases.
GMRS is the same as FRS. What we need to do is switch the channel of this radio to the same as the other radio.
Other radios, (like ham radio, you need to take exams to get the license), you will need to program the radio. Go to the radio official website or contact your seller to get the programming software. Then you can program the radio to make the radios communicate with each other. Some radios support FPP(front pannel programming), you also can program the radio via the radio keypad.
